# EU data residency

> Data residency options and GDPR compliance for EU customers.

Mintlify supports EU data residency for Enterprise customers who need data to remain within the European Economic Area.

## Standard deployment

By default, Mintlify stores customer data on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Data may be processed by Mintlify staff globally.

Mintlify uses Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for cross-border data transfers from the EU to the US, as required by GDPR.

## EU data residency (Enterprise)

Enterprise customers can request EU data residency, which stores customer account data and docs content on AWS EU infrastructure (Frankfurt region).

To request EU data residency:

* Contact [sales@mintlify.com](mailto:sales@mintlify.com) during onboarding.
* EU residency must be configured before your first deployment — it cannot be migrated retroactively.

## GDPR compliance

Mintlify supports GDPR compliance for customers through:

* A signed DPA (see [Data processing addendum](/support/legal/privacy/dpa)).
* Data subject rights support (access, deletion, portability).
* Breach notification within 72 hours of discovery.
* Subprocessor transparency (see [Subprocessors](/support/legal/privacy/subprocessors)).

## Support

EU customers receive support from Mintlify's global support team. Enterprise customers can request EU-only support routing for sensitive tickets.
