Can’t sign in with email
- Try the Forgot password link on the sign-in page.
- Check your spam folder for the password reset email — Mintlify sends from
noreply@mintlify.com. - If the reset email doesn’t arrive within 5 minutes, check whether your email provider is blocking the sender domain, or contact your IT team.
Can’t sign in with GitHub
- Make sure you’re signing in with the same GitHub account that’s connected to your Mintlify organization.
- Try signing out of GitHub in your browser and signing back in, then retry the Mintlify login.
- If your GitHub organization uses SSO, complete the GitHub SSO authorization first.
SSO errors
| Error | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| ”SAML configuration error” | Invalid IdP metadata or certificate | Re-upload the metadata from your IdP and verify the certificate hasn’t expired. |
| ”User not found” | Email claim doesn’t match Mintlify | Confirm the email attribute in the SAML assertion matches the email on the Mintlify account. |
| ”Clock skew detected” | Server time mismatch | Sync the clock on your IdP server with an NTP source. |
Session expired
If you’re repeatedly logged out, check whether your browser is blocking cookies frommintlify.com. Mintlify uses first-party cookies for session management — blocking them causes immediate session expiry.
In Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies → Allow mintlify.com.
Can’t access a specific project
If you can sign in but can’t see a project:- Confirm you’ve been invited to the project (or the organization containing it).
- Ask an Admin to verify your membership in Settings → Members.
- Check whether the project requires SSO — you may need to complete SSO enrollment first.
