Standard deployment
By default, Mintlify stores customer data on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Data may be processed by Mintlify staff globally. Mintlify uses Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for cross-border data transfers from the EU to the US, as required by GDPR.EU data residency (Enterprise)
Enterprise customers can request EU data residency, which stores customer account data and docs content on AWS EU infrastructure (Frankfurt region). To request EU data residency:- Contact sales@mintlify.com during onboarding.
- EU residency must be configured before your first deployment — it cannot be migrated retroactively.
GDPR compliance
Mintlify supports GDPR compliance for customers through:- A signed DPA (see Data processing addendum).
- Data subject rights support (access, deletion, portability).
- Breach notification within 72 hours of discovery.
- Subprocessor transparency (see Subprocessors).
